Who can become a member?
Each regulated financial institution which is registered in Europe as well as institutions which are headquartered outside Europe with at least one European branch can become a member. New members are expected to actively contribute and collaborate with other members towards our goals: Developing requirements for compliant use of public cloud technology. Beyond this, members can expand their contribution in the ECUC to their own possibilities.
Our current members
European financial institutions from several countries have established the coalition in January 2021. Amongst others there are: ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Allied Irish Banks, Bank of Ireland, BAWAG Group, BayernLB, Belfius Bank, Berenberg, Commerzbank AG, Creditplus Bank AG, Deutsche Börse AG, Deutsche Kreditbank AG, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, DNB Bank ASA, Erste Group, Euroclear, Gothaer Finanzholding AG, ING Groep N.V., KBC Bank NV, Landesbank Saar, Nordea Bank Abp, OP Financial Group, PTSB, Raiffeisen Bank International, Swedbank AB, Traton Financial Services AB and UniCredit S.p.A. We are, working together on a position on compliant public cloud computing.

Walter Adriaens
Walter is a department head at KBC Bank NV, responsible for the public cloud and on premise private cloud offering at KBC Bank NV. He’s also responsible for the teams that manage and maintain the application servers of KBC. In the ECUC he’s a co-moderator for the Steering workstream next to that he also moderates, organizes and participates in discussions with CSPs.
Seenuvasan Devasenan, ECUC Workstream Cloud Service Provider Moderator
Seenuvasan is working as Senior Solution Architect and AI & Data Expert (SME) at Big Data & Advanced Analytics, Commerzbank AG. He is heading the usecases, designing the architectures and setting up the cloud standards in bank. Seenuvasan actively serves as a moderator for WS Cloud Service Provider (CSP), ensuring the facilitation and promotion of regular exchanges between CSPs and the ECUC.
Dr. Heiko Drebes, ECUC Expert on Privacy and Data Protection
Heiko is Chief Privacy Officer and Head of Group Data Protection at Deutsche Börse Group. He is supporting ECUC as an expert on privacy and data protection topics. Heiko has worked for over 2 decades in the area of data protection and advised cross-industry and pan-European on data protection with respect to cloud implementation.
Robin van Gessel, ECUC Expert for Information Risk Management
Robin is an expert lead in Information Risk Management, currently heading the team Risk Management for Innovation & Technology in ABN AMRO. Next to Information Risk Management, Robin is also involved in Privacy/GDPR and Data Management Risks.
Christian Gorke
Christian leads the Cyber Center of Excellence team at Commerzbank AG which focusses on cloud, security, and data protection. He is responsible for the CSA workstream of the ECUC, including Position Paper, and strategy.
Almir Mutapcic
Almir is the Head of Retail Data Analytics and CRM at BAWAG Group. He organizes, moderates, and participates in discussions between ECUC and CSPs.
Monika Njegac-Wagner, ECUC Moderator and ECUC Workstream Communication Moderator
Monika has several years of experience in controlling, project management and regulatory at Commerzbank AG. She manages the planning of the ECUC. Monika is one of the ECUC Moderators and leads the Communication workstream. Furthermore, she supports the workstreams Policy Makers.
Christine Riedner, ECUC Workstream Position Paper Moderator
Christine has several years of experience in IT risk management and service transition at Barclays Consumer Bank Europe and is responsible for cloud governance in her current role at Berenberg. Christine is one of the ECUC Moderators and leads the Position Paper workstream.
Christian Weltermann, ECUC Moderator
Christian is a Senior Specialist at Big Data & Advanced Analytics, Commerzbank AG. More than two decades of experience in information technology in the banking sector, including 8+ years in public cloud adoption. Christian is active as CSP Moderator and supports the Workstream Policy Makers.
Andreas Widegren, ECUC Moderator and ECUC Workstream Policy Makers Moderator
Andreas Widegren is Head of Public Policy, Sweden at Nordea Bank Abp. His focus lies on digital questions such cloud, resilience, and Open Finance. He co-chairs the Policy Makers workstream which ensure ECUC presence with policy makers.
Ludmila Schmerbauch, ECUC Workstream Cloud Service Provider Moderator
Ludmila is working at Erste Group focusing on organizing and coordinating activities related to cloud compliance. Ludmila has years of cloud experience in various legal and compliance roles. Within ECUC, she co-chairs the Cloud Services Provider (CSP) workstream and is responsible for maintaining and promoting regular exchanges between CSPs and ECUC.
